Making Strides of Rochester Breast Cancer Awareness Walk
Presented By Rochester Regional Health | October 16, 2022

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. encourages everyone to prioritize breast health in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, and according to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death among Black women, surpassed only by lung cancer. In addition, Black women are often diagnosed at later stages and suffer disproportionately from higher mortality rates compared to our counterparts.

Even though we all have our own reasons for joining Making Strides, we'll take down breast cancer because we're in it together. The Rochester Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (RAC) is fundraising for the American Cancer Society's support services and lifesaving research. RACDSTStrollers will walk to honor survivors, remember those who lost their battle to the disease, and champion the progress being made to defeat breast cancer.  Every dollar counts, so we're asking for your help.

Please donate because together we can end breast cancer.
